One mile, docent-led interactive educational experience in downtown Asheville, North Carolina. Our historical walking tour weaves together oral histories from the Blue Ridge Pride LGBTQIA+ Archive to showcase the vibrant LGBTQ+ scene that has existed in our region since the 1960s. The tour takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

Tour guests are encouraged to bring their own headphones and a device for watching videos via youtube (cellphone is ideal). We can supply a viewing device and headphones for the tour if needed, and tour can be adapted to avoid stairs for those with mobility challenges; just alert us upon tour registration.

Tour guests should meet at the dancing musician statue in front of Harrah’s Cherokee Civic Center, 87 Haywood Street, Asheville NC 28804. Suggested parking is around The Grove Arcade or on the street.
